Situated in the center of Beaverton Oregon business core, the Bank of Beaverton building is a Spanish colonial-style structure constructed in 1923 and recognized as a contributing component within the city's National Register Historic District. In addition to giving one of Beaverton's historic sites fresh life, its reuse honors an architectural treasure and captures a pivotal time in the city's growth. Rejuvenation Floor & Design is proud to be Beaverton’s preferred flooring supplier for historical restoration and restaurant establishments in Beaverton Oregon.
On November 13, 2021, the second location of Loyal Legion Beer Hall opened in the Bank of Beaverton. The history of the building is astounding, and Loyal Legion considers itself fortunate to be housed there. With a 150-seat beer bar and a second cocktail bar (named Flora) upstairs in the former offices, Loyal Legion Beaverton has made a tiny private space perfect for hosting events or seeing sports. A 3,000-square-foot, 100-seat patio resides in the old parking lot and will soon have a big canopy covering much of it. The Bank of Beaverton building’s original stained white oak chevron-patterned hardwood flooring is still visible and period-appropriate hardwood flooring unquestionably goes a long way in keeping with the rich history of this property, although waterproof laminate flooring or luxury vinyl flooring is also a great solution for this busy bar and restaurant.
Loyal Legion is one of 40 eateries that make up Restaurant Row in Downtown Beaverton, deliberately created by the city in 2017. As part of this plan, Henry Point Development hired Chef's Table Group to introduce Loyal Legion to this newly revitalized space after Beaverton Urban Redevelopment Agency (BURA) bought the building and resold it to them. This project was awarded with the DeMuro Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation in 2022.
“Its reuse not only breathes new life into one of Beaverton’s historic sites, it celebrates an architectural gem and embodies a significant period in Beaverton’s development as a city,” stated Restore Oregon.
The project made use of grant monies from the city's Storefront and Tenant Improvement award programs during its restoration. This project is a prime example of how Oregon's main streets and business districts may be successfully reused and revitalized to encourage economic growth while serving its citizens.
